Habitat’s family selection volunteers have the opportunity to assist potential partner families in achieving their dream of homeownership. After undergoing an extensive application process, qualifying families have a visit in their current living conditions from members of the selection committee.
Committee members help assess housing need, ability to repay and willingness to partner with Habitat for Humanity. They act as an advocate for families at the monthly selection committee meetings, presenting the current cost-burdening, over-crowded, and substandard living space and the passionate desire of each applicant family to have a simple decent place to live. Volunteering will change your heart as you become involved with families working to build a better future.
The selection committee meets at 1:30 p.m. on the second Thursday of every month at the Habitat office in Naples. Training sessions for new members are held on a monthly basis. Please call Sonia at 775-0036 for a schedule.

Selection Volunteers
To fill out your selection report after the home visit, please click on the Selection Report link below and save the file to your computer. You can then fill out the fields in the report and then email it, along with all the photos you have taken, to Sonia at stelusnord@hfhcollier.com
